Design Class Definitions:
Mass: a design with a large quantity of material arranged with a closed silhouette with few or no voids.
Pave: design of plant material cut short, close together to form mounds of colours, textures, shapes and sizes
Small: a design from 13.9cm - 25.4 cm (5.5 - 10") in any direction
Vertical: a design in which components are arranged on an axis perpendicular to the horizon
Interpretive: a design where given theme is suggested by the selection and organization of the elements

Tips for Exhibitors:
- Root vegetables-tops trimmed to 1”.
- Vegetables should be carefully brushed, not washed.
- Vegetables exhibited on paper plates.
- All vegetables & specimen flowers must be grown by the exhibitor.
- Potted plants must have been cared for by exhibitor for at least 3 months.
- Hanging baskets & planters must have been in the care of the exhibitor for at least 3 months.
- Material for floral design may be obtained from any source.
